Summary of “Bel Ami’s” Current Status

Bel Ami still has 3 areas to gain distributors for, Protagonist are not worried about this at all and advise it is part of the normal process but have no conerns that it will be distributed in all areas.

I have been advised that a 2010 release is unlikely due to the film not being scheduled for completion before Dec 2010, however my source advises that what they have seen of the movie is excellent and that it looks very impressive. I did also check if Bel Ami was likely to make it to the London Film Festival but was advised this was unlikely but that should that change they would inform me, it is not listed on the BFI site.

As for a release date a Dutch date has been bandied about of mid Fed 2011, while my source says to treat that date tentatively, I think all indicators point to a release around that time of year. My source says they will keep me fully informed of info as it comes to them.
