Santa Monica, CA, June 18, 2012 – To help fans worldwide celebrate Edward Cullen’s 111^th birthday on June 20, 2012, Summit Entertainment, a LIONSGATE^® (NYSE: LGF) company, will debut an exciting new teaser trailer for the highly anticipated THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 2.

A 10-second sneak peek of the teaser trailer will be available for download via EPK.tv at 5:30 AM PDT/8:30 AM EDT on Tuesday, June 19, 2012.

Following the release of the first-look, the full teaser trailer will be made available for download on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 5:30 AM PDT/8:30 AM EDT via EPK.tv.

The next and final chapter in THE TWILIGHT SAGA, THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 2 will arrive in theatres on November 16, 2012. Academy Award^® winner Bill Condon directed both the first and second part of the two-part finale starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. The film, based on the fourth novel in author Stephenie Meyer’s “Twilight” series, was written by Melissa Rosenberg with Wyck Godfrey, Karen Rosenfelt and Stephenie Meyer producing.

Bel Ami Secures a North American Distributor

Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions has picked up domestic distribution rights to the film, which also stars Uma Thurman, Kristin Scott Thomas and Christina Ricci.

Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquistions has picked up North American rights to Robert Pattinson starrer Bel Amifrom Protagonist Pictures. The film, directed by Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod (Cheek by Jowl), also stars Uma Thurman, Kristin Scott Thomas and Christina Ricci.

In Bel Ami, Pattinson plays penniless ex-soldier Georges Duroy, whose rise through the echelons of the Parisian beau monde in the 1980s tells a tale of ambition, power and seduction. Rachel Bennette wrote the adapated screenplay based on Guy de Maupassant's novel. The deal was concluded between Michael Helfand, executive vice president of business affairs, and Tana Evans, vice president of acquisitions and distribution for SPWA, and Ben Roberts, CEO for Protagonist.

Produced by Uberto Pasolini and executive produced by Simon Fuller, Bel Ami will begin rolling out overseas at the end of February 2012. The film has been sold to Studio Canal in the UK, Germany and France, RaiCinema in Italy, Hopscotch in Australia, Independent in Benelux, Impuls in Switzerland, Scanbox in Scandinavia, Golden Scene in Hong Kong/Macau, Unikorea Culture and Art in South Korea, SSG in Taiwan, Central Partnership in CIS, Ablo in Eastern Europe, Ozen Film in Turkey, Lusomundo in Portugal, Front Row in the Middle East, California Filmes in Latin America, PVR in India, PT Amero in Indonesia, Pioneer in the Philippines, Nu Metro in South Africa, Passion Encore in Singapore and Hollywood Entertainment in Greece and Cyprus.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part One Get a PG-13 Rating

Maybe it isn't that big a surprise to some or most, but it is official that Summit Entertainment's The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, directed by Bill (Dreamgirls) Condon, has received a rating from The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) of "PG-13," just like the previous three movies.

This rating is based on "disturbing images, violence, sexuality/partial nudity and some thematic elements" according to the MPAA label, so presumably they found a way to film some of the more controversial aspects of Stephenie Meyers' final book in a way that didn't get the movie a deadly R-rating.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 is released on November 18.

"Unbound Captives" News

Madeline Stowe, writer/director of Rob's very-much-a-mystery-if-it-will-be-made project, 'Unbound Captives' was interviewed by Jeanne Jakle of  MySanAntonio.com at last Sundays Television Critics Association Junket where she was attending promoting her upcoming ABC show 'Revenge':

First stop at Sunday night's soiree, however, was a chat with Madeleine Stowe, star of ABC's Revenge, an addictive new soapy drama set in the Hamptons. For many years, Stowe was part of our local celebrity scene.

Until recently, The Last of the Mohicans star and her actor-husband, Brian Benben (Private Practice), owned a cattle ranch in the Texas Hill Country, 11 miles outside Fredericksburg. They and daughter May, who was born in San Antonio's Methodist Hospital, lived there for many years. Stowe said she had enjoyed being away from the bustle of Hollywood and throwing herself into riding, roping and cutting. However, out of practicality, they moved to Los Angeles a couple of years ago.

While at the ranch, Stowe came up with the idea to write "a large romantic Western" that was inspired, she said, by stories of the Hill Country in the late 1800s. "I heard about children who were abducted by Comanche Indians and became so acculturated that they had a hard time returning.

"Our ranch had a real history," she added. "When I lived there, I felt a certain way about Texas that I hadn't seen filmed yet."

She'll start directing The Unbound Captives next year, she said, and already has rounded up the main cast: Hugh Jackman, Rachel Weisz and Robert Pattinson.

Though they skipped a panel for Eclipse, Summit will return to Comic Con to present a major panel for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1!

The news about this came by way of this mention in a New York Times article looking at larger studios skipping SDCC ’11:

Among smaller studios, Lionsgate, which won strong results last year for “The Expendables,” will be back; and Summit Entertainment will stage a panel for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1.”
