Rough Translation by Spunk Ransom:
We are in summer 2001. Tyler (Robert Pattinson of “Twilight” movie star), the New York City students still could not process the tragedy, which has infected his father’s relationship. Then became acquainted with Ally (Emilie de Ravin, Lost – Lost), who share the pain. Tyler’s everything you want, just do not love, but passionate relationship with both of them realize that maybe even he may have a path to happiness. 'Bel Ami' has a Dutch release date - February 17, 2011

According to The Netherlands' Independent Films The Dutch Distributor for Bel Ami -
The Dutch release date is February 17, 2011.

No "official" confirmation has been made regarding a US distributor or a US/UK release date.

After Total Film's article stating the film is expected in theaters "December 2011" Bel Ami Film inquired with Protagonist Pictures and this was their response:

"There’s no distributor attached to the film in the US as yet so therefore no release date. No confirmation on the UK yet either I’m afraid – we’ll post this info on our website as soon as there is a definite date. I think the ETA on Total Film is purely speculative at this stage"

‘Bel Ami’ News For Australia

RobertPattinsonAustralia did some searching and got the following news regarding ‘Bel Ami’:
There has been some rumors floating around that Bel-Ami may have limited release in some countries in November 2010.  Well don’t get too excited because I’m about to tell you that it’s not happening in Australia.  I had confirmation from Hopscotch Films today that they haven’t heard about this and in any case, they are the Australian distributors and they have no plans to release this film in 2010 – even in limited form.  Sorry, I know it’s not what you want to hear, but at least you know not to get your hopes up.  Please don’t bombard Hopscotch with pleas, petitions or whatever it is that you might think will work.  This film  is slated to be released in 2011 - end of story – you just have to all be patient.  It’s not like Georges isn’t going to be worth the wait.  Of course, as soon as we receive confirmation of the 2011 release date, we will be letting you know.

“Bel Ami” Still Set to be Released in 2011

There’s been some confusion as to what the release date of the film will be. December 2010 or sometime in 2011. The team at RobertPattinsonNews has received the following information from the production company:
Protagonist Pictures have listed the movie’s ‘delivery’ date as December 2010 which means the finished film is due to be delivered to the various distributors by this date. This is separate to its ‘release’ date and it’s still too early to know when this will be, though 2011 is more likely than 2010.
We hope this clarifies the reason why December 2010 is listed on Protagonist Picture’s website and we will update you as soon as an exact release day has been set.
